  • tt TG-8000 gyro

hi i have a raptor 30 v3 with a tg-8000 gyro, with the radio gear on, would me making sharp yaw movments make the tall servo move? is does with my EP zoom, but im getting nothing from the servo on the raptor unless i move the stick, is this the right way to test it
    thanks mart

I am not familiar with the TG-8000 but and input from the Tx for rudder should cause the tail servo to move. This is true whether the gyro is heading hold or not, with a heading hold the servo would not return to center whereas in rate mode it would follow the Tx stick.

Sounds like you have a problem with either the Rx channel, Gyro config or tail servo... does the servo move when connected directly to the Rx ?

hi new question, the default throttle curve on my eclipse 7 tx is, (bottom to top) 0,na,50,na,100, i've set it to 21,32,40,48,100, but now when the skick is at full throttle if i push up anymore on the stick, the servo cuts completly, as if it would if you pressed the engine cut button ??? this cant be normal, last thing i want it to do is get to full throttle and cut the engine is there a feature i dont know about on the tx ???
        thanks mart

EDIT: sorted it just changed the last curve to 99 insted of 100 now it dont jump back

Hey peps i flew my raptor 30 for the first time today YES!!!!!!!!!, needs some final adjustments but everything went ok, considering my first post was not so long ago, at the time i didn't even know what a raptor looked like so i dont think i've done too bad (i was at the time thinking of getting a t-rex) thanks to the peps who convinced me to get a raptor, learning about tx radio setup ie, pitch and throttle curves, was the hardist thing to get my head around, i did try to ask for some advice at the local model shop/club but thay wouldn't even look at my heli, told me i needed 3 years fixed wing exp, yea right!!! there only interested in you if your've got in your pocket, im making a little vid if anyones interested, let me know i'll put it up on google video and post the link
          thanks for everyone whos helped,
          mart.

            Hey congrats mart1ster!!!!

Yeh all of the CCPM and this and that curves is alot to learn. And getting the linkages etc spot on. But now youve learned that with the raptor you can buy and fly any heli be it a little trex or a massive turbine thing that sounds like concorde. Your stuck in it now my lad - better find one or more new credits card lol
