Hi mate and welcome to the forum.

I have a GL 450 and i can assure you that they dont fly out of the box.........mine took a lot of trimming to get it stable............one of the main problems i found was the servo's dont alway center.......but once i'd replaced them it flew really well....

There are some good post on here regarding the GL450

    Hope this helped

      Alan,

If your ever down the coast, Whitley Bay way, feel free to drop me a PM on here and call in for a coffee. We only have the one scaler a Trex 450 in a H500E with lights but we'll help where we can.

I have had nitro truggies and trucks in the past and i am well aware of the hastle a nitro engine can give , constant tuning , smell , mess , oily residue , all things that made me get rid of the trucks.

With regards to the Transmitter i will probably go with what Disc suggested and get something now to suit me later , will save me some money in the long run. Although i will be getting a DX7 to use with Pheonix and the 450 airwolf (need the extra channel for retracts)

If anyone could suggest a nice heli to base a 90 size scale on that would be great,

thank you all for your fantastic advice,

Just crashed my easy copter again lol nose in is still abit tricky for me lol
        Alan,

The 10c will do the T-rex and the sim just get the right cable for it.
But don't get a spektrum set and the futaba set you'd be wasting money IMO just buy one set to do it all.

I would say get a T-rex 600e learn to fly the 600 at 50 size 1st as pod and boom being able to do gentle circuits, figure 8's and nose in then look to either scale the 600e or look at the 90 size to scale.

Don't jump straight at a 90 machine electric or not from the 450 size... not a wise idea and crashing a scale 90 is not good, i crashed a 60 size defender and it made a good mess!!!
