    Thanks guys once more.

I read the whole manual today and, having read a stern warning, I will not be licking my CX2 at all, lest I die.

Personally I think the second comment here may be a truer word, I bought a Blade CX2 and it's a good little heli but I just couldn't help myself when a 2nd hand Blade 400 - 3D came up 3 weeks later. Blow if about 3 weeks after that a T Rex 600 Nitro Sport came up with a decent gyro, servo's, blades etc. and much to the wife's dismay it found it's way into my garage as well. Best part is I can't even fly the CX2 properly yet!!!
The best way to think of it Martin if you do get hooked is to liken it to taking your Nikon camera out every 2 or 3 weeks and throwing it on the ground. The cost of your Nikon & lenses whilst expensive are by and large one off's. The heli's may be cheaper to buy initially but the long term running costs will be higher.
That's not to put you off, I'm only newb but the impression I get is that most people accept crashing them as an occupational hazard of the sport. They may cringe at the cost of repairs but invariably they're back either the same day or the following week ready to do it all over again.
Stupidly I didn't heed the advice of those on here and buy a sim as soon as I bought my Blade 400 which was a big mistake. It cost me more in repairs than the sim cost to buy, you can practice to your hearts content without it costing you a penny
Enjoy your CX2, there's plenty you can learn from flying one of these before you move onto something bigger as long as your not weak willed like me and try to run before you can fly!

I've got 4 battery's for mine, I'll run two then let the motors cool down and then run the other two. If you get the chance to read through the CX2 thread posted between now and xmas you'll pick up quite a bit.
ONe of the best things I've done with mine is to fit the the 180 vented can motors. They run much cooler than the stock ones as there's only very limited airflow through the canopy.
Anyway I don't want to spoil a good read so I'll shut up, enjoy it when you get to play with it, one final word don't be tempted to fly it outside unless it's dead calm!

Thanks for all the input guys. Only 11 days to go til Christmas day!

I just ordered a spare set of skids and a FlightPower Evolite 800 Mah 2S battery.

Hopefully between these parts, two sets of upper and lower blades and the training kit, I'll keep flying for a while...

              What a Helpful Group!

Hi, guys. I joined this site a couple of days ago. I've been bought an E Sky Dauphin for Xmas, so can't touch it till then. In the meantime, I've spent hours reading posts on this site. The encouragement that is given to newbies here is amazing! I've also installed FMS, and I'm using a joypad till the 25th - not ideal, but at least I'm conditioning the thumbs to go the right way.

After reading posts on here, i've ordered another battery and some spare blades.

Does anyone know a link where I can download an ESKY heli to practice on FMS?

I'll post some more after the 25th, when hopefully I'm flying (or crashing)

              Happy flying
