There is a lot of sound advice in the above posts, and it is important thing to remember that a Blade 400 helicopter is a good introduction into "proper helis" as opposed to counter rotating versions. there has been some real rubbish marketed in the UK (and world wide) which people have tried and because they are so hard to fly give up without them ever getting the fun and sense of achievement as they progress. Thanks to the more experienced members of the forum us lesser mortals can take that advice and reap the benefits.

Can someone advise please ? Is the Blade 400 very similar to a Twister heli? I think I've read that it is but doesn't come with the DX6i as standard which would suit me as I've got the Tx/Rx already.

        Thanks

yes bugster they are almost identical! except for the frames and a few little details. if you already have radio gear the twister storm is your best bet.( and dare i say it the better looking of the two )

            Thanks Boggy

Just that with prices rising like they are I thought it might be an idea to grab something now a bit classier and a step up from the HBK2 I've seen wrapped up under the Christmas tree, and keep it in stock till I'm ready for it.

the storm is a little more "blinged up" than the blade. it has carbon blades and fins also a nice red anodised boom and skids. if you can fly a hbk2 you should have no problem getting to grips with a storm/blade i wouldn't know what to advise about when to buy it been right mate only you know that
