  • Pitch / Throttle HELP!!!!

ok, I have just upgraded from a twister coastguard, I have brought a shougun V2 - relativley cheap to get me going!! I have a spektrum dx6i also, I have just plugged all the servos into the Rx, the collective servo is in the AUX 1 slot. When I increase the throttle the collective goes negative, I have looked through the TX settings, but there is no option to reverse the AUX1 channel!!! So i can't even get off the ground at the moment!!!

I don't have a DX6i but I do have a DX7 and that definately has the option to reverse the servo rotation (just as well because I had the same problem). Check through your menu options again, fella, 'cos that doesn't sound quite right. (alternatively await the advice of the dx6 ninjas on this forum!)

      Welcome to the forum!

The DX6i has the option to reverse all channels. Go into the menu and choose the bottom option "Adjust List". From that menu choose the Reverse option - All 6 channels are there. If you're using the heli program, Collective is even labelled "Pitch"

      All the best

Or you might want to go into 'Swash Mix', and change the 'Pitch' value to a negative one.

Some swashes go up for +ve CP, some go down.

          I've just read that again.

Does it really have a servo doing collective pitch, rather than electronic CCPM mixing driving 3 servos on the swash plate ?

lol you dont half thiink sideways scally!! the shogun has a single servo pushing a wire rod up through the centre of the main shaft for pitch iirc. so as Graham says just find the menu and reverse the channel

There's a lot of truth in that. A teacher once said that I delighted in being perverse. I was quite proud of that...

Silly of me to wade in, I guess, but the DX6i bit rang a bell.

First heli (EP100 3 blade) I set up was on a DX7. Second one (EP100 SE Pro - similar servo, etc, arrangement) was on a DX6i, and I had a problem with the collective pitch being reversed (cyclic was fine). Following a posting here, the solution was to negate the pitch in the swash mix. Something which seemed obscure at the time.
