  • Purchasing Genuine Items from Hong Kong on eBay

Anybody bought any brand new items off of eBay from Hong Kong ? Just wondering whether or not Futaba in the UK would honour the warranty if an item comes from overseas. I'm looking at the Futata 401 gyro, which can be purchased brand new for 70. Steer clear of it ?

I buy stuff from ebay but mostly small stuff, particularly new bit's that I know won't get here for 6 months or more, ie T-Rex parts for example.

Only big stuff I've got from HK is a Tx for my cars and servos for my Rappy. All arrived safely, well packaged and half the price of UK stuff. I'm sure if I have problems JR/Macgregor will be awkward but if the stuff was priced within reason here I'd have bought it here.

I spend fortunes in my LHS most weeks  ops:

I buy stacks from HK, thought not RC stuff as I am too impatient. I've always had good reliable and fast service plus there is normaly always a little plastic toy - what's that all about?
