  • HONEYBEE KING

Have been flying my honeybee 2 fp for 3 months now and have got the hang of controling and hovering it (tail facing me only though)..Anyone out there got a honeybee king ? looking into getting one but not to sure about instaling radio and setting heli up.... Is it that hard to do?Any comments appreciated...

Having a small electric myself to learn on and having had a lesson on a knight 50 I would say save up the extra 200 and get your self an IC heli. Both midland and revolution do kits.

If you live in the south west contact Ade www.flyingaid.co.uk for a lesson and you understand what I mean

(im turning into an Ade advert)

Personally i would say - learn to competantly do tail, nose, side in hovering, and slow forward flight, figure of 8's and circles etc. Then you will be ready to move up to whatever helicopter you want be it a HB King or a large nitro model.

There's a heli club at Bembridge, http://www.hornetsmfc.co.uk/ I'm planning to take a trip there when the weather gets better.

I didn't want to go IC when I started, there was no persuading me and I bought a Robbe Eolo Spirit, a very stable heli and loads of fun too, though expensive. I've since been lured over to the IC side but if I could only keep one it would be the Eolo.

No, but we sail over from Chichester so I might be able to sneek off and go flying when we're out on the boat.
