Just bought a S/H Mikado Logo10 from Midland anyone know it.

I liked flying the Logo 10 on Reflex that much I went out and bought a second hand Logo 10 Carbon from Midland Helicopters today
I just wondered if anyone on this forum knows anything about its History.

I havent flown it yet because I need a set of crystals and then the radio needs setting up, any advice on fail safe settings for a Hitec QPCM7 with this Heli :?:

Yep, I used to have a Logo 10, great heli, but the spares are a bit over priced. Check that you have the latest upgrade on the tail rotor "Butterfly", as this was a very weak area on mine, and was eventually the cause of me getting rid of it.

After two unexplained tail failures, Mikado refused point blank to accept that the "butterfly" was too weak or even discuss it. . . . . . yet almost in the same breath they redesigned it and sold it as an "upgrade".

Mikado lost my business at this point, and they will NEVER get it back.

It has loads of upgrades too many to list but it has an open tail gearbox with upgraded raptor 50 pitch slider and tail grips.

Just on my way to buy a set of crystals so I can have a play later today.

Great Helis the Logos

I didnt have my Logo 24 Bionic long enough to have to buy spares and it also had the hinged tail pitch slider so that never caused me any issues.

What motor and power source combo do you have in it, that will be the make or break part of the heli.

Sounds like a reasonable set-up, hard to tell if its 3D or not without knowing more about the Motor

I'm not sure what the motor is, it's quite big and wrapped in a black heat sink with a purple top, thats all I can tell you about it.

I managed to spool it up today and it seemed OK apart from the tail waging vigorously that could be the gyro or a mix in the new radio which I'm still getting used to.

I'm using a 401 and the servo is 9253.

Ive also got the Futaba PCM receiver back on and working, amazing how much better they work with a matching crystal ops:

check out how the gain is setup on your radio. its probably just using the end point of channel 5 which is probably at the default value of 100%!!
