Spektrum DX7 change mode 1 to mode 2?

I have been offered a 2 month old Spektrum DX7 with receiver at a good price but it's mode 1 and I fly mode 2. Can anyone say whether it's possible to convert to mode 2 easily please ?

Unfortually not on a DX7. Even in the engineers menu you can't select the mode of it. I had the same problem as I fly Mode 1 and at the time found it difficuit to get a set.

There are guides on the net on how to swap the modes but it involves altering the wiring internally by spicing new bits in etc. and it's a bit of a pain.

I'm pretty sure Horizon Hobby UK will do it but no idea of costs, sorry.

Yeah, ive read i guide, involes switching these little PCB boards, the only downside is that the trims are now reversed

Shucks but now I'm already sorted. There is a guy who comes to indoor flying who might be interested though. Problem is that's not for another 10 days.

well that shouldn`t be a problem im in no rush to start taking it ti bit and moding it so get him to get in touch if he is interested i really don`t wanna strip and it hopefull if i can swap it helps someone else out 2 ! thanks again
