Hi everybody, cool hobby and cool website i am new to this hobby and have so far bought a zoom 400 off ebay and the tru-flite 3D simulator but as yet have not bought a transmitter. My local shops only sell futaba so i am a bit limited when it comes to their advice.I like the look of the jr sets but haven't been able to talk to anyone about them,i am able to spend around 200 for the tansmitter only and would welcome anyones advice as i want something that is compatible with all the modern receivers and that i am going to be able to stick with as i get better. The zoom i bought was also set up without a gyro is this an issue for a learner and should i get one if so what would be the best one to get for my needs.HELP.....

basically you have 3 choices.
JR PCM 9x2
Futaba 9C
Futaba 7C
the other radios from futaba/JR etc dont come close to those 3 unless your gonna spend a lot more than what a 9c/9x cost.
If you want more details this subject has been covered a few times here in great depth. Search function is very useful

Cheers ade, I started to read some of the topics after i posted the question and found your reply to simular questions on the futaba /jr debate. With my local store s both suppling futaba and the general feeling being futaba the better option i will purchase one next weekend. This may seem like a dumb question but are the futaba 7c and the FF7 the same unit?.Stuart.
