  • Blade Pitch Awfully Wrong

    Hey,

after repairing my belt cp.. i thaught i would do a complete check over.. and i noticed that my blade pitch is kinda wrong..

with idle up on i get about 1 or 2+ pitch at mid stick.. and at full its around 12+

with min stick its around -2 -_- its practically the same with idle up off too

the blade pitch servo rods are the correct legnth..

any suggestions? ive never really set up my pitch

    regards
    Callum

You need to adjust your links so that at centre throttle stick on the TX you have the servo arms at 90 degrees, the mixer arms are level throughout the head, you have zero degrees pitch on the blades and are getting equal travel either way. And also your swash is level. Checkout Finless Bobs trex 450 ccpm videos and setting pitch. The concept is exactly the same so just transfer it to your heli. Nobody can tell you to adjust one thing because it might knock another set of links out of centre. Basically get everything like said above and you cant go wrong. Look for about +/- 10.

Try diffrent arms until you can get the ones closest to 90 degrees. If there a little of then just use subtrim to get them 90 degrees then set the linkages so everythings level (mixer arms etc) and so you have zero degrees pitch.

if ya use the 5 star horns ( futaba) they get to 90 degrees on one of the splines each time ... Same with the wheels for jr/spekky .... or use the blank disks and drill them yourself... Never used subtrim on my heli's
