        newbie too

Got a Dragonfly 39 for chrimble from my lovely better half.. Your right, they are supposed to fly out of the box but mine didn't.. I should have checked it over but wayyyyy toooo excited to waste time on the boring setting up bits...

Really wished I'd spent a bit of time doing it tho.... The swash plate was out of adjustment and the fly bar was so far out of balance that the heli lifted and went sideways before I could react,, darnit..

Good news tho, I spent several days checking and re-checking everything to it just perfect and today the spares have arrived from HongKong.. woohooo, now how do I get out of work early..

as blade has said, they rarely come 100% ready to go. its hard to trim a model out when you cant fly it.

its worth finding some local help to trim it out and give you hand with some of the basic principals of flying a heli it will save a lot of time and probably some money too.
