Hi folks, my name's David. I'm totally new to this. I've wanted to get a model helicopter for years. Well I've finally got one for Christmas (I had to buy it myself). I decided to start with something cheap before going on to bigger and better things. I bought a Walkera Dragonfly 36 to learn with. I had lessons in a real helicopter a few years ago, so I understand the principles of rotor flight. I thought it would be easy to get this little dragonfly thingy off the ground. How wrong could I be, this little thing is much more difficult than the real thing. All it wants to do is spin anticlockwise. I thought it might be a gyro problem so I disconnected it and tried powering up with full deflection on the rudder, it only slowed the spin slightly. I assume it isn't really RTF, and various things will need adjusted or set up. Totally beyond me, so I've just put it back in the box. My next step is to find and join a model flying club in my area and hopefully get the expert advice I sorely need. In the meantime I've been looking at a website for loads of upgrade parts, so I think I'll order a few bits and pieces.

I have had experience of the hornet clone, Cant say I was too impressed.
micros arent easy at the best of times. This one however was even worse suffering from poor quality servos and sloppy linkages.
