  • Problem with HoneyBee Cp2, LED falshing red-green-red ......

Hi, i have just recieved a new E-sky Honey Bee Cp2 for christmas but even when following the instructions, when the battery is plugged in the heli just does some wierd things like making the servo's move irratically then after they settle down the LED on the 4 in 1 controller box just flashes red-green-red-green...ect . could anyone please help me, or would they suggest this is an electrical fault.

    Thanks alot
    Heli newbie, AJ Stokes

make sure the toggle switch on the right shoulder of the transmiter is set to the off position (away from you)as this is the idle on switch and has a fail safe so the heli wont rocket of the ground on start up.Then switch on transmiter with trottle at lowest point and conect the heli battery.

The battery has had a charge over night for about like 8-9 hours so im fairly sure it's fully charged, also i have checked it with a multimeter and it shows its chucking out the right voltage, but still the problem is still happening. please please somebody help me. The sim is now getting boring i really want to hover the thing.

          hi
i also got honey bee CP2 - im sure the previous chap was right about making sure the idle switch is away from you (although on my transmitter it is the TOPLEFT switch) also make sure that the throttle AND the trim is all the way back before you connect the battery up else it wont start and the heli led does all the red flashy things!
          good luck

I would certainly investigate the "safety" features possibly stopping the power up etc...

SAFETY FEATURE - Speed controller disallows high throttle starts
SAFETY FEATURE - Throttle Fail-safe cuts in when signal lost
SAFETY FEATURE - Gyro is disabled at closed throttle to prevent unexpected tail rotor starts during transport

There seems to be similar problems listed here, http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_16..._2/key_/tm.htm

              With the following possible fixes,

The only times I've ever had the problems you described are when the transmitter is turned off or the trim and/or throttle are too high on the transmitter when you connect the copter battery. Is your receiver crystal seated ?

This also happens when your battery is damaged or dead. Try this:

              1. Move throttle stick and the trim are all the way down to zero.
              2. Turn on radio
              3. connect a freshly charged battery in the heli.

Note: do not touch the sticks for 10-15 seconds.....this will initialize the gyro
