  • Belt Cp blade trouble

I have had a few problems with my Belt CP helicopter the latest is I had to change the blades and feathering shaft after a crash. after completing the repair I powered up the heli and the rotor blade cought the tail blade and smashed the main blade and the tail blade how can this happen, I have ordered a new head and tail assembly in metal as the accident also smashed the head connections. Can anyone explain what happened.

It really shouldnt be able to happen..... The main blades shoud be miles (well 5 cm) from the tail rotor, what main blades did you have fitted?

I had the proper ones I got them from hong kong they are 313mm long but it might of been the tail boom or something that it hit as the blades just seemed to go down too far as if the swash plate was allowing too much movement. Could it be that the main shaft collar was to high.

The Blades should be 315mm long, if i was you, i wouldn't trust importing from hong kong
if i need blades i usually go to heliguy.com

Thanks Calum but the blades aere the same 315mm long I think I could of put the retaining collar on too high could that of been it allowing the blades to tilt down and hit the tail boom, as it all happened too fast which way should the collar face as there are two different sides. PS the blades I get from Hong Kong are the same as Heliguy and about a quarter of the price including delivery
