  • Training gear off tonight

    Hi,
I bought myself a Kopter case from the 3D show at the weekend and obviously the Blade won't go in it with training gear on.
Anyhow I decided to get an evening flight in tonight as there was very little wind for the fist time since the weekend.
I got to the field and got set up. I only had about an hour and a quarter of light so rather than fiddle about putting the training gear on I decided to take a punt and just get her up in the air.
The Blade flew great without the gear on. It felt a lot crisper and more responsive. I managed 4 batteries with plenty of landings and no tip overs. Well pleased.
Another hurdle passed. Need to crack that nose in now.

Congratulations three6ty, best feeling in the world isn't it?

After 4 months chucking the Blade around I still get a buzz out of every little new thing I try.

              Hi,
Thanks for all the words of encouragement. This is a great forum full of many people who are always willing to help. Brilliant.
I'll give it a week or 2 then will put them up for grabs in the training gear donation thread on here as promised.
              Cheers, Rich

                Hi,
Managed another 4 batts with the gear off tonight. Looking like it will stay off now. Great feeling.
Tried some nose in but it only lasted a few seconds before I bottled it and turned her back to side in.
I'll crack it eventually I hope.
                Cheers, Rich

                  well done
                  its all uphill from here..
on the nose in .... a good way to progress to that is to take the heli out to the side of you so you are looking at it from a kinda 3/4 angle.. if you move out to the right.. slowly inch the nose round to the left a little and hold it, then go a little more until you pass your comfort level then come back till your comfy again and hold it.

slowly but surely you comfort level will go farther and farther until you are full nose in..

also practice that a LOT on the sim.
