HELP! Need to know what switch idle up is on transmiter

Hi everone
this may sound stupid but Iam new to the hobby,Ihave a honeybee 2 transmiter can anyone tell me what the switch on the top left hand corner marked idle up does

Idle up is a switxh that alters the throttle and pitch curves controlled by the left hand stick. It allows you to have different settings of throttle and pitch for different styles of flying.

I am sure there is a better explanation in the Electric Heli Begginers guide.
