cx2 v century spirit ???

I have just returned from my local model shop, fully intending to pick up a Blade cx2. Whereupon i was told about the Century spirit. Liked the look of both but cx2 just shaded it. Both models were flown by "proper pilot" and both looked excellent! Then i had the chance of a low level hover of both (thats my limit "newbie") and the spirit was the winner! I know most on the site rave about the cx2 anybody flown the spirit?????? I have tonite to sleep on it!!!!! collect tomorrow, Which one?????????????????

To be fair, lots of the Century stuff (including the Spirit, by the looks of things) is rebranded Walkera. Now, while Walkera hasn't got the best reputation either, there are plenty of people raving about their 4#3 and 5#6's here and elsewhere.

Not that I'd pay for the Century rebranding, mind you...

I agree mate, apart from the 4#3b & a couple of the micro Contras I wouldn't touch anything else Walkera makes either.

let me explain
with my dealers hat on
i have a renault clio for sale two months tax and mot. its a FANTASTIC little car. hardly any rust. doesnt use much petrol. and is clean and tidy.you can have it for £100 BARGAIN eh?
with my hat on
now in reality it was a fantastic little car with some rust and the starter is knackered. although its mot'd it needs two tyres and the indicators dont work. and its off to the scrap yard tomorrow

ive not flown the spirit but i have had two century heli's a mini pred and a falcon both before i found this forum. and both were do a search on here for century or go to the century section and do some reading you will soon see a pattern emerging

Why would the shop show me the spirit as an alternative ? There i am ready to part with hard earned "bucks" and now confused.com ! hear what you say about the cx2 but the spiit flew really well.!

Fair point - I do some work in the motor industry.
The thing is he sells the CX2 and the twisters as well... I guess the margin is higher on century stuff...
I'm very happy with the CX2 and progressing nicely on Phoenix - how do I tell when I'm ready for a 400?
