    Hi ya fellow heli nutters not long joined so thought i`d introduce myself im wayne from cambs been into the model scene for a good few years now well a lot of years really started off when i was 12-13 ish with freeflight then control line for many years dabbled with rc cars then rc planes but kept putting off helis i have had two other helis in the past one concept 30 bought used chickened out so sold it then i bought a nexus kit built it had it checked over and final set up done and again chickened out so sold that so now at the age of 35 im getting into helis if it kills me so 3 months ago i bought a twister hawk and had a go and once i got it set up can fly quite well (shes looking tatty now) i also have a honey bee cp a shuttle and now a twister skylift i know gone mad buying models most were ebays finest and between them im learning but im now thinking wether i should invest in lessons can anyone recomend someone?

      Hi and welcome,
      I think the best way to learn is to get stick time. On a sim at first then with the real thing.
      And yes it will kill you! If not physically then financially!

            get Phoenix, its the only sim you should be looking at, all other are just P.C Games.......Im sure most will agree with me on here

                A man after my own name, is there enough room for two Wayne's in the fens lol.

                Welcome to the club mate, I'm only 12ish miles up the road from you, and it sounds like your well hook, lined & snickered to this hobby.

                Your best investment would be Phoenix right now, it has loads of tutorials and is a fantastic stepping stone to stretch out new skills without it being at the expense of your machines.

                          It sure is mate, you'll have no issues on Vista, Phoenix runs just fine on XP & Vista.

                            yep Phoenix is fine on vista or xp, and I forgot to say Welcome to heliaddicts the place to learn, boast, advise, joke and make new friends.....I have met some great guys on here.......we are all one big mass of heli nuts
