Yusa muffler or stock muffler?

Is a Yusa 30 muffler better than a stock Hirobo 30 muffler? What's the difference?

i doubt that will be any better than what you have.

I suggest either a mustle pipe or zimmerman, yes they are quite expensive but they offer excellent consistancy and noise reduction.

Maybe it would'nt be any better but don't you think it looks a little better than the Hirobo one.

Hi Belair,

That muffler doesnt look too bad, there are other Yuasa ones that have a smooth finish body which to my mind look a little better.

The one thing I will say about the one you have selected is that it is designed for a right hand exhaust model, whereas the shuttle is a left hand exhaust. This means that if you turn it upside down to install it on the other side of the model, the pressure nipple to feed the fuel tank pressure will then be at the bottom of the muffler. This will therefore collect old spent oil, quite possibly forcing it into the clean fuel tank and causing problems running the engine, not to mention blocking the pipes and filters up.

That looks like the one I have and if so it is drilled and tapped top and bottom, you just have to swap the plug and nipple around.
