  • Lessons Needed

I recently bought a Procopter sport, my first outdoor helicopter. Having had it in the air for a few seconds it came crashing down and the rotor blades went through the tail boom.

Whilst it is in repair I have realised that it would probably be cost effective to have some lessons.
Is there anyone in or around the Brighton area who gives rc helicopter lessons?

Question 1: Do you have a sim to practice on.?

Question 2: If not make that's your next purchase because the best pilot in the world can't make you put the sticks in the correct direction if you arnt familier with the inputs.

Phoenix is a great purchase for only £79 at most rc helicopter stores, Buy that and spend weeks practicing before either paying or getting free advise from a teacher.

Its like playing snooker... Ronnie O-Sullivan can tell you how to pot a ball but can't give you the talent to do it.

Advise after what I have just written would be get down to a local club and watch/learn and listen from members who will help you.

    BTW: Welcome to the forums.

Phoenix is excellent, I practiced for several hours before going near a heli (very hard as the heli was already bought) and it paid off. Well worth the expense - equates to a couple of sets of blades or one decent crash repair bill.

There is a club up near the Dyke but I'm unsure if many there do helis. I know a bloke I know flies there and he had a Raptor and flew it there. Think he also used to fly at Waterhall as well not sure if he still does as it's unsanctioned.

As the others have said the best money you will spend will be on a Sim

Couldn't agree more on that, all you can do when teaching someone is give your advice, you cant move the sticks for them.
