  • 3D Twister Storm Feathering Shaft Help!!!

    Hi All,
I may be requesting, what has been requested a million times here, BUT.....I'm Stuck.
I have a Blade 400 & Twister Storm, to which the parts are almost identical. Feathering shafts are a little different (Blade400=shorter).
I had a little accident with the twister which resulted in the shaft needing replacing. Bought the part, took everything off and when I attempted to replace all the bearings, washers etc, I have found the end nuts will not go back on as the shaft seems to be too short (its an original Twister Part!!).
Maybe, I'm putting the bearings, washers back on wrongly, I do not know.
Has anyone out there got a detailed picture of the order in which these parts go back on Please??
I've tried going of diagrams of the Blade400 Help pages, but they are slightly different to twister 3D.
I am a complete novice to this, but have replaced main shafts, gears etc in the past.
Thanks to everyone who even reads this!!!
I find the twister easier to fly than the Blade400, and this is the one I'm learning from.

Pete, took your advise and actually bought both feathering shafts and some spares! Really wanted to see the problem for myself and if its really that bad make an issue about it with J-Perkins.

Managed to get the shims and dampers, hopedfully the right ones from the TS3D hardware bag......see how I get on anyway.
      Cheers Eddie

Its an easy mod and well worth it as you just use the 2 regular hex heads to tighten it up. Much easier. And if your like me you will definatly go through a few of 'em!!!!

Cant understand why J Perkins didnt do this from the off. Wierd!

Let us know how you find the differences between the two.

            No worries mate.

Took me ages to work out why the Storm had such a loose head using the Blade feathering shaft. I spoke to Ade at Hobby Hanger and he mentioned the shims the blade uses. Eureka!! Everyday being a school day and all that....!!!!!
