  • Newbie considering Walkera 5#10

Just broken a Set 735 (3 channel twitchy thing) I received as a present and want to get something that I can actually fly from point AtoB. The 5#10 seems to fit the bill and is a little larger as well, not seen it much discussed though. Any opinions?

Was also looking at the 5G6 but some people said it was too twitchy.

Although I can only find one UK stockist for the 5#10 (I'm in a hurry, I've 2 weeks at home in which to occupy myself suddenly) so open to suggestions.

The blade CX2 seems to be much recommended, but to be honest when you add on cost for spares its more than I want to spend.

    Many thanks for any thoughts!

To be honest mate you'd probably struggle with anything else apart from a blade cx2. You could go for the lama v4 or medivac which are cheaper alternatives but spares will still be a similar price to the blade. The blade cx2 is more proven to be honest. The tails hold a little better on them also. Its also 2.4ghz which stops any glitches. The receiver is a spektrum AR also. Good for if you want to upgrade your Transmitter at a later date to something like a DX6i or DX7. You could actually use the RX in another micro heli if ya got the bug or mangled the blade cx2. Loads of plus points if you purchased a blade cx2. If you went the lama/medivac route you could easily manage but you will probably come across alot of the problems you are already experiencing with the Walkera (they just not as good TBH). Another option might be the little co-axial Walkera heli... cant remember the name of it but im sure someone here will say. Not sure if they do those on 2.4 either mind.

    Cheers
