If your heli is CCPM you will need to setup in your radio
Today's outlook is fine for flying.
    • Spektrum DX18 gen2, Phoenix Sims, Align MR25XP.
    • Blade Nano, mCP X, 130x, Blade 180, Mini T 450se
    • Trex 250dfc Gpro, Trex 500EFL Gpro.
    • Trex 600E Gpro DFC, Trex 600NSP now Gpro, DFC, Redline 56
    • Flickr Through My Pictures.
    • A helicopter is an aircraft that is lifted and propelled by one or more horizontal rotors because Wikipedia said so.

Yep definately sounds like you have setup your ccpm wrong.
Try reversing your elevator channel to start. If that doesnt sort it then you need to go through the whole ccpm setup to check everythings moving in the right direction. Ya dont need to post twice mate we heard ya the first time lol

      Cheers

I'm not familiar with the DX6i, but if it works like most other radios, then the changes are instant (no rebinding or cycling of power needed).

          Cheers,

Ya dont need to do either of them. Just change the setting and its instantly done. You dont even need to have the helicopter/receiver turned on. The changes you make on the transmitter will take effect when the receiver initialises.

The only thing you need to re-bind for is if you change the failsafe settings because these will be set when you bind. So if you are at all unsure of the failsafe settings (like where the throttle was when it first binded) you might double check that.

disconnect the motor from the speed controller before doing anything,

go to the servo reverse function in the tx and move the collective up and down, reverse each one until the 3 servos move in the right direction.

then check the aileron and elevator, if they are wrong go to the swash mix menu and change the values from + value to a - value.
