L-16 instructions apear to be wrong!!!

On the subject of Battery intstallation the Robbe instructions state that the batteries (two) should be connected in series! Thats fine but in the instruction manual they appear to have crossed over the polarity in the connection to the speed controller. My understanding is that in "series" you connect a loop wire from a + connection on one battery to the - connection on the other, then the + and - connections left are connected to the speed controller + red to the +red wire and -black to the black wire. In the instructions for the L-16 the diagram shows the speed controller conected in reverse + to the Black- wire, and the - to the red + wire. can anyone tell me if I am correct or are the instructions correct please??? :?:

your method is the standard way to connect 2 batteries in series is correct.

very strange that the robbe manual looks to be wrong.
