Plug the 3 wired lead into channel 4 on the receiver.

Plug the 1 wire lead (red plug) into channel 5 on the receiver.

Set the endpoints of channel 5 (gear channel) to about 60% each way.

When flicking the gear channel switch on the Tx, you will be selecting heading hold mode and normal mode. Heading hold mode is shown on the gyro by the red light being on.

If using a Futaba 9254 servo (recommended for this gyro), set the delay pot on the gyro to 0% and the servo type switch to digital.

Make sure the servo is operating in the right direction - i.e. left sticks gives left rudder and vica versa. If it's going the wrong way, change the servo direction on the Tx.

Make sure the servo is sensing in the right direction - i.e. when you hold the heli by the head button and give it a short sharp tug by the nose to the left, then the servo should move so as to give right rudder, and vica versa. If it's going the wrong way, then flick the little direction switch on the gyro.

Go fly with it in HH mode first.

Check the gain value in flight and adjust as necessary.

Adjust the mechanical centre of the gyro in normal mode.

    Job done.
