Thanks Trev, your a star...i don't want to jinx your practice though, and you've got enough to think about with the masters. Besides, last two times i've been down to Hayling, you've had technical problems and downed both your leccy and nitro . I was begining to think i was given off some bad vibes. I might pop down and keep you company for an hour though. I'll text you.

BTW, £1700 is the heli, tx, batt's etc so its not all that bad, just a big outlay for very little reward at the mo'. It'll get better though i know.

Thanks for the support guys, i'm not convinced just yet as i can't find any obvious problems. Everything checks out OK so i'll get it built up and then maybe do some v gentle 1 ft hovering to check it through.

      Cheers. David.

Spec for anyone who may have an idea...

        Trex600e
        Standard ESC
        Electrolite 5000mah Lipo
        4800mah 4.8v NiMH rx batt
Servos on cyclic JR NES591 (will replace with the specktrum digi ones)
        CSM Sl430 gyro
        JR NES 810G on tail

The only problem i've had is setting up the Gyro. It has worked well in the past but since accidently cleared my model memory, i've now reverted to disabling auto gain and just using the gain channel (60%) but it was still kicking out and wouldn't hold solid on rudder commands, it would turn but then spring back. Sort of 2 steps forward, 1 step back. I was at the field primarily to work on the Gyro settings.

Bring it along if you can make it, I don't mind...

DON'T USE THE SPEKTRUM SERVOS - me and Ade were building a machine a little while ago and just putting the servo horn onto them snapped the servo output shaft on serveral servos if I remember correctly! They aren't safe for helicopter use.

Yeah, i know Trev. I'll see if i can't find something more suitable at a local model shop so i can get it built back up today.

sounds stuped but cheack your on of switch for the battery had the same lost all control twice only to find out that the vibration was turning the switch to the off side so replaced it with a stiffer switch and all is fine
