  • Beginners first Heli

    Hello to all

I am new to Rc Helicopters and i am trying to decide between two models, one is

    TWISTER CP2 / ESky 3D Heli LCD RADIO CCPM 35MHZ on Ebay @ 159
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TWISTER-CP2-ES...QQcmdZViewItem

And the other is a Mini Copter V2 Electric Heli with Metal carry case 180 from The Model Centre (closest picture i can find)
    http://www.sussex-model-centre.co.uk...-copter-v2.jpg

I am finding it hard to decide as a lot of people i work with have horror stories about ebay helicopters parts missing etc but it seems to have everthing with it Where as TMC has a carry case and are very helpful ? I would be grateful for any advice anyone can offer me.

    Hi,

this has basically been said in another part of this forum

most of the electric micros are not the easiest of things to fly. because they are small and have lots of plastic they are unstable and not very responsive to the controls.

If you want something small and electric take a look at the Hirobo XRB lama Sky robo. Its a lot more expensive than the ones you have been looking at but flies VERY nicely.

non of the micros fly very well out doors. Lama will fly very nicely in your front room.

another option would be to visit a flying school for a trial lesson on a glow powered heli its cheap and you get lots of stick time for very little money

PS I am one of those flying schools :-)

Good idea, but @ 4 per gallon I wouldn't reach Carlisle!
