    On my transmitter it has a voltage meter. At what point should i change my batteries in the transmitter

    Depends what transmitter ?? ... and also if its generic to the model ... need more info lol .......Most of us run either futaba or jr/spekky which is built rechargable pack .. mine seems good for a days flying .. but i charge it up thenight before i go to the field

      If he's talking about "Changing" his batteries Mike at a guess he might be using a DX6i or similar..

      He's offline at the moment but will confirm later I presume..

        Those dont have a battery pack .. hmm ....it will beep when it gets low n e way ... mine does .. when it drops to bout 9.6 i land and charge ...

          at the moment i've got the E-FLY 100 c (comes with the mini pred v2 kit) but i will definatly be purchasing a DX6i in the near future.

                No I haven't I have a proper radio, that feels like a radio


                It's banned because it uses dry cells not a soldered pack. Apparently there is a BMFA directive about it??

                  by the way ollie you tx has a low voltage alarm and will bleep when the batteries get low!! (page 5 of the manual)

                    At t he end of the day the BMFA are guidelines only ...I would never run a plane/heli Tx on thoese sort of batteries ...but even the batteries we use can go wrong ... But if ya gonna use single batteries and not a pack . .use high capacity rechargable nimhs for it ...

                      thats a new one! ive not seen anything on thier website! the latest mention of 2.4 says they will allow them all including futaba aslong as they have been checked by ripmax!!
