  • Which radio

    Hi all

Having been out of RC model world for some 20 years and about to get back into it again .

My main interest was rc gliding with some fixed wing power but I recently bought a Lama 5 electric powered helicopter. Much fun I must say. I was looking for some advice on the latest radio gear out there.

I would like, if possible to buy a radio that could be used for heli and gliding. I do not know what the differences are between a heli and airplane transmitter. I see that that Futaba have the new 10C but not sure if this would cover my requirements.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Regards
    Peter

The futaba 10c would do the job well enough.

Actually most transmitters have heli/plane/glider programing options

so yes the futaba 10c will do the job well enough

Go for the spektrum DX7, absolute superb radio system, with 2.4ghz and you can run 20 models plane and heli mixed.

personally I would not touch the 10c .. if i was gonna get one of that price .. opt for the 12FG ... or if ya want less channels ya cant go wrong with a FF 7 2.4ghz ... i had no problems with mine and it has all the mixes and stuff ya need for fixed wing and gliders.. i fly fixed wing as well ... and its very cheap as well ..... depends on how many channels ya need or want at the end of the day .....theres also the JR dsx 9 as well.. nice radios
