Longest flight times? Gas Electric?

Seems the electric helis only give you about 10 mins of flight time. Do the gas powered ones give you longer flight times? Curious how much?

all depends ... on what sorta flying ya doing and the engine size .... Too many variables lol ... 30 i get bout 20 minutes a tank and my 50 gets about 20 as well ... my hughes is about 15 but uses alot more fuel as its a 60 size ... I do circuits and FF ... and the occasional loop.....And it also depends on how lean or rich ya run ya engine ... As i dont need to compete with n e one i run them a tad on the rich side Oh and also if ya run a header tank or not ...

have heard that the gassers can run upto around 45 mins per tank!!!!! lol, for that I think you'd need a nice comfy chair to sit in otherwise I think your legs would give in before the heli did

Thought about getting a gasser .. its the re-ringing the engine after soo many hours running thats put me off lol .. Oh and the price of spares ......

To be honest Mike, actually had a look at spares for the predator gasser and was surprised how cheap a lot of the parts actually are!

hehe... also with the lower fuel costs of a gasser in comparison to nitro, over time the money youd save in fuel would easily go towards the maintenance of the heli

Would love one myself, but at about £1k for just the airframe and engine its a shedload of wonga to lay out. (maybe ONE day it'll happen ahhh.... to dream hehe)
