  • newbie needs help!!

    hi all, am new to this game so bear with me!
    i was given a nearly completed T-REX XL 450 electric helicopter, i have now completed the chopper and its ready to fly but i dont want to break it just yet. is there anyone out there who is prepared to trim it out and get it to hover for me, and also give me a lesson on flying it?? i would be prepared to pay for this service. i live in Liverpool and dont have time to join a club....i would be prepared to travel to you. cheers guys

    I don't want to sound harsh mate but if that's the truth then your in the wrong hobby.

    Can't help with the setup as I'm miles away but your gonna have to find time somewhere if you want to pursue this hobby.

      You also need Sim practice, Phoenix is the way to go.

      If not it'll only take seconds to destroy her.

        I agree 100% with cambs flyer, sim practice and I would say you'd need lesson(s). The Phoenix and Reflex XTR SIMs will give you a good idea of how the real model heli will react. Just remember every time it hit's the floor on the sim and you F4 to reset, in reality that's approx £20 - £30 spent in the model shop on spares to repair it.

          right o, first off i see you are in liverpool, so not to far from our outdoor site in hesketh bank, near southport. I would be all too happy to help you set up your heli and give you a lesson or two. im currently as we speak fixing my 450 AGAIN!! so i will also show you how a trex when setup properly should fly. check my website addy is in my sig and my phone number is on my site gimme a ring and we'll meet up tomorrow if you want ill be outdoors from 10am till about 8pm or if you want to come to the indoor meeting on thursday your more than welcome to join us there.

            £30 i wish!! after my last attempt at a chaos with my 450 it cost me £100, but yeah crashes in the sim are free and there really is no substitute for sim time

              I did say £30ish. Ok the first one cost me over £100.00 but I took a 240 gyro out in the crash. With Align selling most common parts in multiples this cuts down a bit on the cost for next time.... Looks like Scullet has the help he was looking for. Don't dismiss the sim though...
