  • Scale fuselage for Blade 400?

    Hey guys,

I was wondering what types of scale fuselages you can get to fit the blade 400? Would all the ones for the T rex 450 be suitable? What about the century ones? Anyone got any suggestions at all? Also, I noticed the fuselages are often a bit longer than the length of the actual length of the helicopter. Now is this ok since this is always the case or would you have to cut the fuselage down to size?

    Thanks a lot!

the main measurement you need is the distance between the main shaft and tail shaft.( blade 400 and trex 450xl are the same) so any trex body should fit you may just have to alter the mounting points with thin ply or plastic blocks etc.
im sure with just basic modeling skills this should be straight forward enough

      Hey Boggy

Thanks man. I'm a touch noobish to the whole rc heli scene.

So with the idea of the blade being 650mm long and this one being 720mm will work? Because I quite like this one:

And what specifically would I have to do to this one to make it fit? Im really sorry but i find grasping the concepts hard.

Also would the DX6i handle the retracts?

      Thanks again!

the 720mm is the total lenth from nose to tail. your heli will fit inside!

now retracts with the dx6i are a problem because you dont have a spare channel. however you could use a "y" lead on the gyro channel5 and fly in rate mode with the gear up and flick into h/h with the gear down.(im not certain this will work because of the gyro settings but im sure sombody who is a bit more technicly minded will chip in)
