    12v power supply

    Please help

    Does any one have info for 12v power supply for li-po charge, I did see some info about old p.c power supply as a 12v supply for charges but can not find it

    please help

    why not use a car/recreation battery or a commercially available PSU ?

        Ive been using a pc supply for two years it works fine, powering my supernova charger, Have used it when charging 16 cell 2400 nicds, so the amperage is more than enough for what you want as long as you load the 5volt rail with a suitable resistor, good explanation here :arrow: http://web2.murraystate.edu/andy.bat...owersupply.htm
        Only really worth it if you have a spare atx supply hanging round, otherwise id just get the ready made unit dave mentioned above

          You can get a 20A PSU from Ripmax now... same line as their chargers. Seem to remember is is about 30.

          I am using a 10A old CB PSU which is fine.

            Hello,

            I built my PC power supply by using this a general guide http://www.marcee.org/Articles/PCPowerSupply.htm

            You dont need to do all the gromet stuff it talks about, just make your own connections. The key is getting draw on the +5V, this will increase the output to the full +12v ! Also, beware of the non standard psu's, such as the old dell psu's, they have different outputs !
