With my plastic blade grips I've just placed the bearings in using pliers, but with the alloy grips do I need to add a little thread lock to secure them or can I just place them in without any glue?

So have they arrived now?
If I understand you correctly, I don't see why you would need to threadlock the bearings into the blade grips. It will only serve to keep them in when the feathering shaft is taken out. I don't see what you are gaining from this, but you do run the risk of gumming up your bearing with threadlock and that would be very bad!
I stand prepared to be corrected on this so just my 2cents worth.

I agree, with the Feathering shaft firmly in place there going nowhere, just on the Align exploded diagram it has a couple of thread lock images pointing to the bearings.
I feel the same whats the point, and no they haven't arrived worse luck, I phoned Midland Heli's and they said a shipment arrived today and there be with me by tomorrow with any luck.sigpicWayne AKA OB1
