  • So what to do once I have received everything?

So imagine that I have received my Raptor 50SE, OS engine, Futaba 9CH - Super, GY401 Servo + 9254 Servo, muffler, etc. Right, could someone spare their time to compile a list of all of the tools/equipment I would need to build this thing and get it running (including everything needed in the flight box)...

    Thanks.

If you folow the link below it will take you to Ace Hobbies document site, select heli and then raptor 50 v2 (pdf document), goto page 3 of the manual and that will give you a list of the general tools you will need to build the heli and to put in your field kit. As an addition a pitch guage will come in handy as well as a pair of ball link adjusters.

I have never had a Raptor but I would have thought the Build instructions would indicate the Equipement / Tools required to complete the build - YES/NO !!!!

Set of Alan Keys, screwdrivers (pozi and flat blade), socket set, circlip pliers, ball link pliers, pitch gauge, blade balancer, ball link adjuster (if low pain tolerance on thumbs ).
Also lithium grease, Loctite 242 threadlock.

The Raptor is a simple beast to put together with the only trickey bit I can remember being the fitting of the circlips... not so bad if you have a pair of circlip pliers...

                  As for running,

glow start, might also be worth fitting a remote glow (I always do these days). 12v sealed lead acid cell, 12v starter motor, hex starter shaft, spare OS8 glow plug, glow plug spanner, fuel (10% synthetic)
Buddy cable if you have someone to teach you.

Probably loads of other things as well...
