Raptor 30 conversion to 50

I am updating my raptor 30 v2 into a 50, I have bought the conversion kit minus the 10 tooth pinion, can anyone tell me if it is possible to run with the 9 tooth , I understand that the head speed will be higher by 10% but will that make much difference.

why not do the job properly and get the new pinion? you know your not going to be happy untill you have completed the project so do it now whilst you have it stripped!

I'm having great fun with a 30 V2 and an OS37 with a 50 tailboom and belt plus NHP 600 razor pro blades. Lots of power.

keeping the smaller gear will make your 50 engine over-rev, unless you bring down the throttle curve or use a governor, which in doing so will mean you are not using the full power of the engine...get the right pinion
