  • New to forum - hi, whats next =)

Just to say that i now have a simulator (not Pheonix) and due to popular advise (hassle!! lol) from this very forum, i have now purchased a coax in the form of a twister medevac

Ill be running it in the village hall soon and wondered what my first operational objectives should be: to hover? fly a circle? what?

Any recommendations on good learning exercises welcomed.

BTW: im still looking for my Blade 400 and will buy one as soon as i find a decent priced one - interestingly, theres a few about!?

Orientation hovering is a good place to start.
Try to hover in a steady spot with the heli tail in, and side on both ways around - finally, nose in if you get brave, although that one may be best left until you have flown figure eights to begin getting used to the controls being backwards

    Cheers,

Big thanks Rob, sorry to get nube on you but what do you mean by 'tail in' and 'side on both ways'?

It's normal to learn to fly by hovering the heli with it pointing away from you (i.e. you stand behind the helicopter).
That's called "tail in" - i.e. tail pointing in towards you.

Side on both ways would be hovering the helicopter in front of you with it pointing to your left and to your right (both ways) so you are looking at the side of the helicopter.

          I'd start there...
          Cheers,
