  • REPLACEMENT ENGINE FOR RAPTOR

Ive managed to do a little bit of damage to my TT39 in Raptor 30 I wonder wether three questions could be answered

    1. There is a multitude of engines out there who is the best manufacture

    2. What model would fit the Raptor 30 giving a little more power

    3. What modifications need to made to the Raptor and Exhaust

You'll probably get 6 different answers from 6 different people, but the advice I have been given by many people is to go for an OS Engine.

The OS32SX-H has a great track record, and there is also an OS37 model out now as well.

Most Raptors I have seen have had an OS installed in them.

Reliablity is a factor, and they are known to be easy to start and maintain too.

There is a great number of pipes/mufflers that will fit, so you'll have no problem sourcing parts/upgrades.

      Hi DUBIOUSP
It's a matter of personal opinion - mine is that O.S. sell the best Glow Motors - they are user friendly and ultra reliable - the one and only problem is they tend to be a little more expensive .
I'm at present using a O.S.37 costs about 125 , in a Caliber and it runs very well.
It will go into your Raptor without any modifications plus your existing silencer will fit without any mods as well.
O.S. also do a 32 size engine costs about 108 , it's a little cheaper but won't give you much more power than the TT39. This is an edit as kiwipilot was a little quicker off the mark and I was writing this as he was. So sorry for repeating some of the advice again.

If it's not fun, your not doing it right !!

the info is much appreciated Ive been looking at OS but you can never find much info on actual fittings but it sounds like the 37 is the one to go for

The reviews thread may also help give a little more info.

Strangely most of the engines reviewed are OS as well.
