  • Pitch control rod lengths

    Is it me?
T-Rex 450 SE, shouldn't the control linkages from the swash to the washout arms be the same length?
Bought it on fleabay and found it very touchy on pitch and piled it into the deck.
As well as getting new blades etc, got a pitch gauge and found one blade at 0 and the other at -5 the blade holders don't look bent but the links are different in length by about 3mm.

    Any help appreciated.

The links from the top of the swashplate to the actual head should be the same length. In the manual I have here it shows rod D (the longer one) to be 42mm and rod A (the shorted one which connects to the blade grip) as 20mm

      Now I've found the problem.
Adjust lengths of links and refit and noticed the shank of one of the rings had split allowing it to drift where it would.
      Thanks Choopertastic

if youve got one split link I would check the rest of them just to ensure that you have no further problems.
        All the best
