Cool, I had the Trex 450 in fairly strong winds today, it lifts her up forward or to the side, but after a few times you know the signs and what to do to keep her safe from harm.
The Rappy 30 would **** through it no trouble

I look forward to eventually having one, but I'll be training on my 450, this is the only real heli I have ever flown and I find her lovely and steady, great control movements, I only have Hitec 55's in the servo dept and there completely twitch free.
So it meets all my requirements now and beyond what I haven't learned, plus its dirt cheap to maintain.
But nothing is as impressive looking as a Rappy babe or any heli in that class.
Do keep us posted with your success and all mate, and after seeing one gently hover last night, that's one large beastie to take to the skies.
Fantastic or what.
My other halfs watching that shift lifter Gock on the TV, time for me to take flight with the few fully charged batts I have, as I fear my charger has gone tits up.

Finding it very smooth with the lightweight ones fitted.Originally posted by busterboy View PostJust had a second look at your picture Adam.
You have the lightweight green 3D paddles fitted..
To help your flying a little change those for the stock black paddles that carry a little more weight.
Makes the heli smoother to fly mate..
They are what the guy I bought it off was using so just ended up leaving them on.

I have just been using random settings for the wind. Good fun trying to fly in a strong wind. For the most part I have been keeping the setting down low, but not using the zero settings now. My way of thinking is we hardly ever get a breeze less day.

AJ Jelly. The best thing you can do now is get rid of those trainer balls. So so much smoother without.
The Rappy is a great heli for us non-experts.
I agree with comments about the stock black paddles. You need the weight to calm the cyclics down.
But above all....enjoy

Think I have a set kicking around somewhere, thanks heliward0. I am starting to think about taking off the training balls off soon. Just want to get it under a little better control. Have had a few hard landings, bounces well on the balls!!
