As a newbie I have done the Twister Bell, Blade 400 route and have ended up with a Raptor 30 which is the easiest to fly outdoors of all of them. I have just obtained persmission to fly over a nearby field.
Had the Raptor there yesterday morning and had a great fly around, not nose in, but plenty of good hovering, everything but nose in, spirits were high and the day was good.
I went again today expecting more good things and on the first tankfull my brain just seemed to go into meltdown. I was haveing trouble doing anything.. Second tankfull was just hovering tail in to get confidence back. Thoroughly demoralised I came home and had my tea.
Not wanting to be beaten I took Big Bird (As she is known at home) and did a tankfull on the front lawn, nose in and most of the time under control. First ever nose in flying... I was very pleased.
After all of this preamble..... Is it normal to have a complete brain fade sort of day and just not fly too well ??
