  • Trex align 450 clone thingy batteries

I have got a trex 450 clone that has been rebuilt using align stuff so is far less of a clone than it started. I have one battery for it which is a overlander 2200mah 11.,1v 3s. I need to have more than one battery but don't know where to get more on a budget from. I have a T shaped plug. Please can you guide me through where and what to get for a good deal. Links direct to the item would be ideal as websites bamboozle you with choices in their incomprehensible ranges.

    I have a balance charger

These HK 25C packs should be okay for you:
Turnigy 2200mAh 3S 25C Lipo Pack (UK Warehouse)

But if you have the Deans type plug on the ESC and don't fancy soldering then you can get adapters to suit:

Connectors is a subject that you will have to come to terms with in this (or any rc) hobby.
If you can't already do so, learn to solder.

Decide which connectors you want for your heli, then, if necessary, change the connectors when you buy a new battery.

I settled on XT60 connectors for my 450 mainly because the Turnigy 3s 2200 batteries have them as standard

My advice, which you don't have to follow of course, is to buy a few XT60 connectors if and when you buy the Turnigy batteries. Solder a male on to your charger lead and to the esc on the heli. Put a female on your existing battery.

If you are still learning the 20c Turnigy packs will be fine. I got about 90 cycles each out of mine before they started to deteriorate significantly. They are by far the best value, in my opinion.

Edit. The last three posts were made while I was typing this!
