First ever CP heli flight today! - Red Bull 130X

Cheers, yeah I decided to put as much open space around me as possible! I stood right in the middle of the field with at least 200m in all directions. Really glad I did too, because I needed pretty much all of it!

As an update I managed to get 4 more flights with the Red Bull 130X this afternoon at the local field and a couple of flights with my new mCPX. It was a calm day and the sun was shining so the visibility was excellent. Perfect flying conditions and nobody in sight. I flew the mCPX first as a warm up and had no problem flying simple circuits. It's a great little micro and much more stable than I had imagined it would be. Then I got the Red Bull out and this time I wasn't nervous at all and much more confident than on my first outing. I managed to run through 4 packs flying nice controlled circuits and 8's. I have to say it was just like flying on the sim, but obviously a lot more fun, which is great. The 130X is rock stable too, again not what I expected for such a small model. I think I've finally cracked basic CP flying now but obviously it's just the beginning!

Well done Pete. It looks as if you have caught me up in flying ability. I have been doing it 3 years!

Thanks Mike, but I'm sure your flying is a lot more savvy than mine! I'm sure we'll meet up at some point in the future as I intend to eventually join the MK club. Unfortunately I don't have time this year, but will try to get out to one of their events to see what it's all about.
