Buddy boxing issues..........

Hi all I am trying to buddy box a student using his dx6i as the master and my DSX11 (JR) as the slave.
Everything works fine , but the tail rotor on the slave tx is working backwards .................
I cannot reverse it on the slave tx ,.... or any other channel ...

any ideas on how i can sort this for him .

dunno if this will work but what about reversing the channel in the master and then reverse it in the gyro?

gyro is a gy401 in an old hirobo sceadu, fitted with a trex 600 flybared rotorhead, !!!!!
I have no idea why either !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
