  • Looking at the BLADE HELIS CX4

    First of hi to all

Ok I have messed about with a small indoor heli and was looking at taking the next step and read your beginners guide I know it's a few years old now so wondered if all that info is applies to the BLADE HELIS CX4, as a beginner I like the idea of spares and upgrades and with xmas coming up I may put on on my xmas list.

Depends on what you want really - how you want to learn, do you want to fly indoors or outdoors etc. The CX4 is really an indoor-only helicopter. You could fly it outside, but only on truly calm days. The slightest puff of a breeze will take it like a kite!

If you want to progress beyond a small indoor heli - look at the Blade 200SRX RTF [link below] - much more capable and has 3 flights modes, beginner, intermediate and expert... it even has a panic button for when you get into trouble!
Also consider a simulator - Phoenix v5 or RealFlight 7

Lots of good info too on RC Helicopters - A Super Fun & Rewarding Hobby - I found it invaluable when I was just starting!
