  • HBFP reduced lift

    Hello,

My stock Esky HBFP lift has reduced.
    Every thing looks OK.
    1. Lipo OK
    2. Push Rod - EK1-0201 ok
    3. Tested with New Main Motor - NO change.
    4. Blades ok

Please tell how to fix the problem.

    Thank You.

it could be the plastic blades. after time they bend out of shape and loose their positive ptich and you have to rebend them back. you could try some carbon fixed pitch blades that are designed for the century hummingbird.

my uncle has a brandnew set which he might sell you. send "tonyheliman" a pm and ask him if he wants to sell em. they are about £25 - £30 from midlandheli.

    cheers

Thanks. I again tried with new stock blades, but no change in lift.

At what % throttle postion (50% = center), does your stock HBFP (lipo) hover 3 feet from ground (no wind conditions) ?

Hold the chopper by the skids and give it max throttle. You should be able to tell if you are getting good head speed and plenty of lift. If you say you have fitted a new motor then perhaps the lipo has lost it's 'omph'. Try another lipo.

Also is the main gear locked on to the main shaft or has the grub screw come out? Or Main rotor core - is it locked down?

        good luck

Thanks. Heli does go up on increasing throttle, just at higher throttle position than before.
Tried with other Lipos too (Lipos are ok).
Set motor pinion spacing with main gear using A4 paper.
Main gear can rotate freely if motor removed.
Center hub is connected to shaft using pin.

Heli also seems sluggish (even after removing flybar weights) and less stable now.
