  • Hello, Im new here

A while back I started out by buying a co ax heli and thoroughly enjoyed it, I soon moved on from that and made the mistake of buying a small 6 ch heli which to be honest put me off. I struggled to fly it and then for no apparent reason it stopped working and to be honest Id lost the drive to get it going. I then bought a Heli guy atom, 4 ch single blade. This was brilliant and fully restored my interest, the heli was quite robst and Heli guy I have to say were very good to deal with and parts were delivered very promptly. I really enjoyed the 4ch micro and Im looking to move up in quality but Im not too sure about size or going on to 6 ch yet. Within the realms of 4 ch micro is the Atom FP as good as it gets or is there better?
Eventually I can see me moving up to a 6ch after a simulator but for now Im interested in something small to fly in doors which is precise and quality, any suggestions. ( when I say indoors Im referring to a house) Regards Bob

Hi and welcome to the forum

Check out the Blade range of fixed pitch heli's MSRX and 120 SR although the 120 SR will be a little to big for indoors...

      Hope this helps

As Rich23 says the Blade range is probably best for you to fly indoors, and welcome to the hobby and forum, enjoy!

Welcome and good luck. The bigger the heli, generally the easier it is to fly.

For inside-a-house-flying, 4 channel (fixed pitch) is probably the right level. You can fly collective pitch (6 channel) helis inside, but realistically only when you're quite confident.

To really move your flying on, you want to consider moving outside. Arguably the most advanced 4 channel heli is the Blade 200SRX. In advanced mode, it has the same flight characteristics as a collective pitch heli. For inside though, it's possibly just a little too big.

The Blade mSRX for indoors is probably the realistic limit for most beginners IMO.

                    Hi Bob

                    Welcome to the Forum
I have also not been flying long, I agree with Tom that the MSRX would be the perfect indoor trainer, I have a 200SRX and that is definitely to big to fly in a house as is the 120 i believe.
Don`t be tempted by another 6ch micro just yet, I have a Walkera Super cp and despite it being marketed as ideal for beginners it is without doubt the tricky helicopter to fly i have in my collection.
The 200 SRX is a great little heli for training if you can get outside to practice, parts are cheap and the differant modes are really handy when learning orientation.

This is a great forum to be on, the guys on here have helped me out loads lately...
Ive come to the conclusion that flying is the easy part..
                    Good luck and enjoy yourself..
