Well all was going well until I had a crash, bent inner and outer shafts, the cog on the bottom of the outer shaft has stripped the teeth off. I had a spare inner shaft so not all lost just need to order an outer shaft with cog. Now my question is this. I removed all the parts and replaced just to learn how it goes together etc, but the outer shaft moves up and down by a good 1cm this in effect moves the outer shaft cog off the other motor cog so the gears are not in contact. So what actually holds the outer shaft in place?, and should this be tight so it does not move up and down? All in all how hard will it be to fit a new outer shaft and get it flying well. Thanks for any advice.

Someone here had the same prob' a litttle while back.
The collar under the swash plate loosen it off, push the lower gears under the batt' compartment as high as there go, then while holding the gears using a screw driver tighten the collar but move it as far down as you can.
This will correct your gear slop.
