Twister storm question

Hello all
I discovered your forum this morning and here is my first post.

I've been hankering after a heli for a while now and am intending to cut my teeth on the twister storm with training undercarriage and a dose of exponential.
Two questions.
1) My radio set is a multiplex cockpit SX and I have a 6 channel 14 gramme Rx. Is this a suitable set please, particularly from the Rx weight perspective?
2) I already fly fixed wing electric and have a couple of 20C 11.1V 1500mAh lipos. I see the twister comes with an 1800 mAh lipo. What are the chnaces of it running on the 1500's?
Other comments for a beginner are welcome.

the stock battery is also 20c and i get 5mins flying out of it so i would say your flights are going to be a little shorter! especially with the extra weight in that rx( spektrum weighs in at only 3.5gr)

space out your electrics and radio gear as best you can.and spray some silicon polish on the tail belt,to help reduce glitching with 35mhz
